In addition to her practical experience guiding projects to successful completion, Suha Atiyeh is also capable of evaluating projects during the study phase. She also has plenty of knowledge and skill on sustainability issues, which means she can “green up” nearly any project. Besides her strong civil engineering background, Suha also has a certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building standards and she has also certified as an Envision Sustainability Professional and as a Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional.

In addition to designing and leading a project to completion, Suha Atiyeh is also more than capable of conducting a thorough analysis of every stage of the project. She has a lot she can point to in her portfolio, and she played a leadership role in many of them. The include the Fort Reno Elevated Tank in Washington DC, the Potomac Interceptor Sewer System in Virginia and the Oily Water Sewer Modeling Project in Washington State. Among her most important projects internationally included several projects in the UAE, including Stormwater Flood Mitigation Measures, a Drinking Water Audit, the Masdar City Sitewide Infrastructure, the Golden Beach Resort and other projects in the western region of that country.

Overall, Suha Atiyeh’s experience runs the gamut in almost every stage of every project. She has been involved with the initial planning phase of projects, including design and sustainability, and she has helped with the delivery of construction documents. Her experience also includes undertaking evaluations and studies prior to design development. Suha Atiyeh has developed and implemented sustainable solutions on projects leading to a reduction in carbon and cost and an overall increase in sustainability.
